Scarlet-backed Flowerpecker
One of Singapore's smallest and most attractive urban birds. Males are easily recognised by the scarlet crown that extends ina line down the nape and back to the rump. This feature contrasts sharply with their otherwise black face and glossy blue wings. Females have a generally drab grey-brown plumage but a prominent red rump.
