Oriental Magpie-Robin

A familair balck and white chat. Head and upperparts black, contrasting with white upperparts from lower breast backwards. Also note white wing patch and outer tail. Female similar to male but with black parts replaced by slate-grey.

White-rumped Shama

A long-tailed, black and orange chat. Head, back, wings and tail dark glossy black, broken by large patch on rump and uppertail coverts. Belly to undertail rufous-orange. Female similar to male but with black parts replaced by dark grey, with rufous lining to wing feathers. Young birds mostly brown on upperparts wiht buff speckling.
