Blue-eared Kingfisher
A small and brilliant kingfisher. Similar to the Common Kingfisher, the plumage is deep blue vs turquoise-green of the Common King. The ear is coverts blue and underparts rich orange-red.

Common Kingfisher
A small kingfisher, turquoise-green upperparts, orange underparts and white throat. Blue-green back and paler rump visible when seen in flight. Male has all black bill, while female has orange on the lower mandible.

White-throated Kingfisher
Chocolate-brown head and underparts. Large white throat patch, blue back, tail and wings. Distinctive bright red bill.

Oriental Dwarf Kingfisher
A petite-looking colourful kingfisher with a bright red bill. Underparts rich yellow, contrasting with diagnostic balckish-blue mantle and dark iridesent blue wings. Also a blue patch on forehead and head sides. Rump pinkish red, only visible when in flight.

Black-capped Kingfisher
The only kingfisher with black head and red bill, although Collared Kingfisher may appear similar when seen poorly. Neck, throat and breast white, but belly rich orange. Most of the upperparts from back to tail deep blue. As in White-throated Kingfisher, white patch on the outer wing feathers is only visible in flight.
